How this board works

Sharing

  • The /b/… link is the key — no password. Anyone with the link can edit.
  • Use Copy share link. Everyone picks a display name for votes (not a baby name).
  • Public demo boards are read-only showcases — start your own from home.

Names & votes

  • Hover a name for a quick peek; tap to expand. Drag onto another column to move it (or Move to…). ▲ / ▼ rank it (tap again to clear). Esc closes an open name.
  • Suggest names below; pick which column with the toggles.

Columns

  • Rename a column title in place. + adds another (up to 4).
  • ✕ removes an extra column (the first stays). On phone, swipe sideways between columns.

Notes & voice

  • Nicknames — short forms (Su for Suzy); auto-filled for common names, editable.
  • Why this name? — personal note (grandfather, family story, etc.) — the part only you know.
  • Origin / meaning — filled when we know the name; override under More details. Same gloss in every language (names aren’t “translated”; RU/HE are written forms).
